Anne-Marije Middag is a Dutch artist based in Lexmond, The Netherlands.

The moment one observes, a judgment is already there
. We look with expectations and assumptions. What if we take more time to observe?

In her work, she explores how people relate to themselves, to others, and to their environment, confronting both herself as the creator and the viewer with how we see and judge. Can we delay our first interpretation to become more deeply connected with what surrounds us? Additionally, time, change, and choices play a central role in her work, with meditation and strength serving as driving forces to reflect on our engagement with the continuous flow of life.
